Three-year agreement delivers full HD signal via Eutelsat 16A satellite to eight CEE markets, with further digital expansion in the pipelineA1 has commenced the HD transmission of the Da Vinci channel for Central and Eastern Europe, marking a landmark step forward in the partnership between A1 and CosmoBlue Media. Previously, A1 carried only the standard-definition version of the channel for internal use within the A1 Group. With this upgrade, viewers across the region will now experience Da Vinci's acclaimed educational and family content in full high definition.
A Comprehensive Broadcast PartnershipUnder a new three-year contract, A1 will provide CosmoBlue Media with a comprehensive suite of broadcast services, including uplink services, satellite capacity, conditional access system integration, and round-the-clock monitoring and technical support. The HD signal is transmitted from the Aflenz Teleport in Austria — one of A1's key broadcast infrastructure facilities — to the Eutelsat 16A satellite at 16° East, which provides reliable, wide-reaching coverage across the Central and Eastern European footprint.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in delivering premium HD content to audiences across the region, and reflects the growing strategic alignment between the two organisations.
Eight Markets, One HD SignalThe Da Vinci HD channel is now being distributed to platforms and operators throughout Europe. Clients across Central and Eastern Europe receiving the upgraded signal include Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Greece — markets that together represent millions of households seeking quality educational and entertainment programming for the whole family.
